I'm just a few days late announcing the winners of our Botanique giveaway. Sorry about that. We had a fabric blowout sale at the end of last week and unexpectedly sold our home at the same time! It got a bit crazy around here to say the least.
So, here are the two LUCKY ladies who have won a Botanique fat quarter bundle:
Katherine at sewmesomethinggood
Rebecca at ourbusylittlebunchathome
Speaking of LUCK, we are still trying to wrap our brains around the fact that we sold our home in one day! Who does that?! Now we just have to figure out how we're going to manage the next few months! It's going to be interesting preparing for Quilt Market while we pack up this place...wish us LUCK!

I sewed a little something out of Botanique today! I had to remind myself that I actually can sew, AND complete a project once in a while. Feels good! Although, I can't take credit for the cute bag. Our good friend, Jessica sewed this for us to show off some of Joel's prints.
Oh. And she sewed this one as well. She's a bag genius. One of these days I will convince her to sell her patterns...but for now you'll just have to "ooh and ahh" over them in photo state only.
Speaking of these gorgeous prints, Joel and I think it's time to offer a giveaway! Leave a comment here and two lucky readers will win a fat quarter bundle in either the Fountain or Golden Hour color palettes. You may also enter for a second chance to win a fat quarter bundle of Botanique over at Patchwork Posse if you would like to participate in their "Around the Block Round Robin Quilt Along".
We'll post the names of the winners March 7th. Good luck!

Until then, our friends over at www.creativebug.com have posted the workshop we created with them for our Farmer's Market Tote. Head on over to their site and check it out. You'll probably find a new internet addiction with all of their incredible workshops.
Had I thought things through before now, I would have asked for this bag to be sent back before now so I could take it on vacation next week. Darn! It would be perfect for a carry-on bag for the plane.

Joel's newest collection, "Botanique" arrived just in time to showcase at Quilt Market last month. We were unable to attend because we were just coming off of a 10-day vacation and family reunion in Florida. **Sigh** We had a wonderful time spending time with Joel's family and seeing some of our favorite places in Central Florida.
We spent a perfect weekend at Cocoa Beach, where we all wish we could return now that there is snow on the ground here in Utah!
Aside from the beach, every member of our family agrees that the Harry Potter World at Universal Islands of Adventure is our very favorite attraction at any theme park we've visited! I can almost taste the Butter Beer just thinking about how good it is!
But back to the fabric. Introducing "Botanique" was the original intent of this post. These beautiful prints will be available in January in both the "Fountain" and "Golden Hour" colorways.

Bungalow Winners & Catching the Creative Bug
20 comments Posted by Joel and Laurie Dewberry at 9:47 AM
I'm excited to announce the following four winners of our Bungalow fat quarter sets: Julie at thecraftyquilter.com, Mary W., C.J. at www.astitchnaprayer.blogspot.com and Nancy at owensovlivia.blogspot.com. I hope you all enjoy your Bungalow fabric as much as I do!
Kari Sweeten is offering another giveaway of Bungalow fat quarters over at Ucreate if you're interested in trying again.
I'm a little obsessed with these prints. Truly. I would change
the entire decor scheme of my house to work with this collection if I
had the time and money. I did though finish a major project a couple of
weeks ago, using the Cotton Sateen Doily print
in Forest. I redid our kitchen nook table and chairs and LOVE how
everything turned out. It was a painstaking process to sand everything,
paint and reupholster the chairs, and stain the table, but so worth the
result.
I didn't take the best "before" shot, but this will give you an idea of the transformation that took place:
And, here is the result. What an improvement!
Part of what motivated me to complete this makeover was the knowledge that creativebug.com
was coming to film a video at our home last week. There is nothing like
the idea of having your home serve as the location for a photo or film
shoot to prompt some serious makeover magic! We also spent some time
sprucing up the studio space, and love the results there as well.
The team from www.creativebug.com spent last Friday with us, shooting a video class with me creating this Farmer's Market Tote:
If you
haven't been to their site before, go check out one of their free
classes. They do amazing work! I was so nervous prior to this shoot, but
Courtney, Jason, Matt and Brian made the experience so easy and
enjoyable. They were a fun group to hang out with. Case in point:
Matt cracking jokes with Courtney and Joel:
Jason taking advantage of a break to jump on our trampoline:
Brian and Jason utilizing the ping pong table
during our lunch break:
And Courtney hanging out with me at the amazing fruit stand down the street from our home after the filming wrapped up:
The tote bag features more of Joel's Bungalow prints, as well as some of his prints from the new True Colors line by Westminster Fabrics. These prints feature some of Joel's bestselling blender prints and will be available in November.
